Lyndonville VT – The Satellite Gallery welcomes all to an artist’s reception celebrating “Scrappy & Happy,” a solo exhibition by Vermont artist Alison Bergman. The reception is free to attend and will take place on Sunday, September 13th, from 5-7pm. There will be an outdoor pop-up café by Two Tamales food truck. The exhibition will display through October 30th.

“Scrappy & Happy” is an immersive installation that brings together ceramic sculpture, painting, printmaking, fiber, and collage to create a vibrant environment filled with color, pattern, movement, and play. Built through accumulation, improvisation, and rearrangement, “Scrappy & Happy” embraces awkwardness and imperfection as opportunities for discovery. Through exuberant world-building, Bergman invites viewers to experience joy not as an escape from an imperfect world but as a way of imagining its possibilities.

Alison Bergman is an artist, educator, and community arts advocate living in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. She holds a BFA in Film, Video, and Animation from the Rhode Island School of Design, an MAAE from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MFA in Ceramics from UMass Dartmouth. She has received the Graduate Fellowship in Community Engagement at UMass Dartmouth and the Learning in Arts & Culture Fellowship at the Vermont Studio Center. She was recently accepted as an Associate Member of Boston Sculptors Gallery.

The Satellite Gallery, located on Depot Street, in Lyndonville, was founded in 2018 by artists Elly Barksdale and Martha Elmes with the intention of filling empty storefront windows and creating an Art Space for the community. The Satellite Gallery has hosted work from a number of New England artists and is still going strong today in partnership with Catamount Arts in neighboring St. Johnsbury.
