After wrapping his acclaimed HBO series “How To with John Wilson,” filmmaker John Wilson turns his camera toward an unlikely subject: concrete. Hoping to make his documentary commercially appealing, he borrows lessons from a workshop on writing Hallmark movies. The result is a funny, surprising journey through New York City, the structures that surround us, and the challenges of making independent films. What begins as an investigation of an everyday building material becomes a reflection on creativity, permanence, and finding meaning in ordinary life.
