Catamount Arts announces the return of the monthly Strum Club at York Street Meeting House on Tuesday, October 6th. The community is invited to a potluck at 5:30 pm and the strumming commences at 7 pm.

This free community gathering is open to guitarists, instrumentalists and singers, as well as folks who just want to listen. All ages, instruments and skill levels are invited. The event is hosted by the Elliott family: brother-and-sister team, Rachael and Matthew Elliott, facilitate the strum club and Matthew’s wife, Val, produces the community potluck.

Strum Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month from October through March. The goal is to build community through the enjoyment of food, music & company during the darker months, from Stick Season to Sugaring Season. Everyone is invited to bring a dish to share (optional) and enjoy some delicious food starting at 5:30 pm. Then stick around to sing or play with the Strum Club at 7 pm. Song charts are provided (no need to read music) and participants are also welcome to bring a song or two to share with the group. Free, accessible and open to the public.
