About the Exhibition:  Upon attending the reception for the highly competitive juried show ArtsConnect@CatamountArts, artist Steve Edson learned that he had been designated Second Prize Winner by Juror and Fleming Museum Curator Andrea Rosen.  The day his ride back home to Boston stretched from 3 hours to 10 hours as he stopped to take photographs of the winter landscape as he drove through Vermont and New Hampshire.   For Edson, his photography is all about “how to look at what might be considered commonplace and extract that visual gem.”

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Boston based photographer Steve Edson graduated with a BFA from MassArt with a major in SIM (The Studio for Inter-related Media).  He exhibits widely and was most recently featured in Art Now: New Directions in Contemporary Photography at the Ann Arbor Art Center in Michigan.  Formerly a photography lecturer at the Boston Architectural Center and commercial photographer who integrated video and animation into work for clients, Edson now concentrates his energies full time on fine art photography.
