Catamount Arts is pleased to present its fourth annual juried show Arts Connect at Catamount Arts, which will be on view in the Catamount Arts Galleries from December 1-February 15, 2019.  Juried by Nick Capasso, Director of the Fitchburg Museum of Art, this exhibition offers area residents an opportunity to view outstanding work by emerging and established artists from across the country.  An opening reception for artists, family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 1 from 4-6 pm.  All are welcome to attend.  

About the Juror:  Nick Capasso is a distinguished curator and museum administrator, currently serving as Director of the Fitchburg Art Museum in Fitchburg, MA. Prior to this appointment, Capasso was Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs at the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum, in Lincoln, Massachusetts. In addition to curating numerous exhibitions, he has been a major contributor to such books as Painting In Boston: 1950-2000 and other publications. Capasso has lectured and written extensively on contemporary public art. From 2000-2007 was Board Chair of Boston’s UrbanArts Institute and is currently serving as Chair of the Public Art Curatorial Committee at the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy.

The Fried Family Gallery at Catamount Arts

The Fried Family Gallery at Catamount Arts is dedicated to an exploration of contemporary art in curated exhibitions that both challenge and delight viewers. Each year the gallery presents work by member artists in a juried show Arts Connect at Catamount Arts, as well as an exhibition related to the Vermont Animation Festival.

Gallery hours: Monday-Saturday: 10 am to 6 pm, Sunday: Closed
