Catamount Arts is pleased to announce its eighth annual juried show, “Arts Connect at Catamount Arts,” which will be on view in the Catamount Arts Galleries from December 14 th through March 12th. Juried by Devon Zimmerman, Associate Curator of Modern and Contemporary American Art at Maine’s Ogunquit Museum of American Art, this exhibition offers area residents an opportunity to view outstanding work by emerging and established member artists. An opening reception for artists, family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 17 th , from 4-5:30 pm. All are welcome to attend.
Before coming to Ogunquit, Devon served in many prestigious art institutions and universities. Most recently, Zimmerman was at Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum where he was a guest curator and researcher in the Department of Product Design and Decorative Arts. He previously held positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York and taught at Sotheby’s Institute of Art and Marymount Manhattan College.
