Friday, May 1, 6:00 pm
Presented By: Catamount Arts
Saturday, May 1, 6:00 pm
Location:
Catamount Arts Center
115 Eastern Ave.
St. Johnsbury, VT
Join us on Thursday, May 1 from 6:00–7:30 pm at Catamount Arts for a William Eddy Lecture Series presentation by earth artist Thea Alvin. As the first recipient of the Elizabeth C. Hadas Artist-in-the-Forest residency, Alvin spent time last spring in Matsinger Forest creating site-specific sculptures — woodpile walls, stone cairns, and stacked installations that play with scale, light, and the quiet permanence of the natural world.
Raised on Martha’s Vineyard and shaped by years of off-grid living in the Vermont woods, Alvin brings a deeply grounded, hands-on philosophy to her work. Her art invites you to slow down, look closely, and discover something you might want to make yourself.
This event is free and open to everyone. Come ready to be moved — and maybe a little inspired.
