Young children are meant to move, and Big Body Art at the NEKCA Literacy Fair invites the whole family into that experience. Instead of sitting still at a table, children and caregivers create side by side using large, full-body movements…reaching, sweeping, rolling, and stretching as they make their marks together.

These shared art experiences support physical development, coordination, and creativity while also building connection. When families join in the process, art becomes a space for laughter, collaboration, and joyful expression. Big Body Art is less about the final product and more about a joyful experience together!

Hosted by Catamount Arts and Building Bright Futures, with funding from the Vermont Arts Council’s Early Childhood Arts Partnership program.
