Catamount Arts is pleased to announce its third annual juried show Arts Connect at Catamount Arts, which will be on view in the Catamount Arts Galleries from December 2 through February 16.  Juried by John R. Stomberg, Director of the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College, this exhibition offers area residents an opportunity to view outstanding work by emerging and established artists from across the country.  An opening reception for artists, family and friends will be held on Saturday, December 2 from 5-7 pm.  All are welcome to attend.

ABOUT THE JUROR: John R. Stomberg is a distinguished curator, writer and museum administrator, currently serving as Director of the Hood Museum of Art at Dartmouth College. Before joining Dartmouth, he was Director of the Mount Holyoke College Art Museum, and held leadership positions at the Williams College Museum of Art and the Boston University Art Gallery.  He holds degrees in art history, with a B.A. from Georgetown University and both an M.A. and Ph.D. from Boston University.  As a curator of contemporary art, he moves between photography, prints, paintings, sculpture, media art, and installation work, with exhibitions that broaden our understanding of how art operates in, and often shapes, society.
