Description:
When a young woman is killed by a shark near the New England tourist town of Amity Island, police chief Martin Brody (Roy Scheider) wants to close the beaches. However, the mayor overrules him, fearing the loss of tourist revenue. With the help of a marine biologist (Richard Dreyfuss) and a professional shark hunter (Robert Shaw), Brody sets out to stop the killer beast in this suspenseful classic.
