Learn a bit about the history of installation and performance art and get to know more about a number of international artists in the field.
Musicians, poets, actors and dancers encouraged! This workshop can function as inspiration, encouragement and enhancement for people that are already involved with or want to get ready to dance, play live music, or do public speaking.
Class fee: $130, materials included (10% discount for high school students and Catamount Arts members).
Please register via our new Class Portal.
Registration deadline: May 14.
When Sarah Spletzer started her business, movementum, in 2015, she was inspired to give it a three word motto: Dance-Create-Share, as those are her three favorite things to do in this world. She has a special interest in the area where creating meets healing, where creating means not only learning a new skill but learning something new about yourself. After completing a BA in Fine Arts in 2009, she completed training as a Professional Artist in the Classroom and as a dance therapist. In Germany, the Netherlands, and the US, Sarah has facilitated creative classes and workshops for all ages, led public art projects, provided education programming at the National Museum of Fine Arts in the Netherlands, and helped organize the Weaving Well Being Festival in Vermont. She is a member of the Cabot Artisans Gallery.
