Description:
Set in 1960s Tokyo, this avant-garde film follows Eddie, a transgender woman working at a gay bar, as she navigates love, identity, and rivalry. Blending elements of drama, documentary, and experimental cinema, the film offers a kaleidoscopic view of the underground LGBTQ+ scene. Loosely inspired by Oedipus Rex, it challenges narrative conventions and is considered a landmark of Japanese queer cinema.

Curated by Xtine Nockles.
