The St. Johnsbury Players will present “This Old House,” a musical comedy by Tim Kelly and Stephen Murray, on Friday and Saturday, October 13 and 14, at 7 PM and Sunday, October 15, at 2 PM.
“This Old House” is a musical farce written by Tim Kelly with music and lyrics by St. Johnsbury Academy alum Stephen Murray. Murray graduated in 1980 and was the first recipient of the St. Johnsbury Players’ W. Clark Noyes Theater Arts Award.
Mona Babbington is the owner of a large Victorian mansion that is showing its age. Her nephew Napoleon and niece Pauline are responsible for caring for the house, which is home to many rambunctious college students. Not only is the mansion starting to fall apart, but it is also revealed that Mona owes a large sum of money on the home, resulting in the cast of quirky characters coming together to save the mansion.
Performances will take place at the St. Johnsbury School auditorium. Admission is $10 for general admission and $8 for students and seniors.
