Umbrella is kicking off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with a powerful evening of storytelling centered on this year’s theme, Stories of Resilience & Recovery.
Join us on Friday, October 2, 2026, at the St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, beginning at 6:00 PM, as community members courageously share their personal journeys of healing, strength, and hope. We encourage everyone to attend and experience these meaningful stories.
We’re also honored to welcome local author Shannon Brown, who will read an excerpt from her new book, Because of Jane. Her moving memoir adds another powerful voice to the evening, highlighting the importance of sharing our stories and the healing that can come from being heard.
Our goal is to create a space that honors the lived experiences of our community, fosters understanding, and reminds us of the power of resilience and recovery. We hope everyone who attends leaves feeling inspired, connected, and moved by the stories shared.
