Gruesome Playground Injuries follows the 30-year relationship of two childhood friends, Doug and Kayleen, through a series of non-linear scenes marked by their physical and emotional injuries, exploring how pain connects them. It premiered at the Alley Theatre in Houston in 2009 and later in New York City at Second Stage Theatre.
Veterans of improv and character comedy, Emily Day Blackwell (Groundlings’ Sunday Company; Just For Laughs New Faces Characters) and P.K. Simone (Countdown, Prime Video; The Red Rob Roy Show, Prime Video) bring out the dark humor and raw emotional connection at the heart of this play. Ages 16+.
