Bring your whole family for foliage train rides taking place during the Fall for St. Johnsbury festival. You’ll enjoy a scenic 1.5 hour round trip along a route that hugs the Passumpsic and Connecticut Rivers between downtown St. Johnsbury and Ryegate, Vermont. Ride in one of three historic Green Mountain Railroad “Green Fleet” cars while being entertained by knowledgeable narration of the history of the train route and significant sites along the way.
Boarding begins 15 minutes before scheduled departure times. PLEASE ARRIVE NO LATER THAN 10 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR DEPARTURE TO CHECK IN. TRAINS DEPART PROMPTLY. REFUNDS WILL NOT BE ISSUED FOR LATE ARRIVAL.

Details:
- Rides last 1.5 hours departing from the St. Johnsbury Welcome Center, and are operated by the Vermont Rail Systems.
- Food and drink (no alcoholic beverages) are allowed on the rides. Free spiced cider and popcorn are available on-site at the Welcome Center, provided courtesy of Union Baptist Church. Restaurants and food vendors are available at several locations throughout town.
- Service animals are permitted, but no pets are allowed.
- Online ticket sales end at midnight on Friday, October 11. Any remaining tickets can be purchased the morning of the event at the Welcome Center – cash or check only.
