Kingdom County Productions
Kingdom County Productions was established in May 1991 by Vermont impresario/ filmmaker Jay Craven and theater and film producer Bess O’Brien. Jay Craven came to Vermont in 1975 and founded Catamount Arts, a community arts organization in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Catamount began as a four-night-a-week traveling 16mm film series of foreign, classic, and independent movies to small rural towns. By 1986, it grew to become Northern New England’s largest independent performing arts presenter and arts education organization. Catamount’s program included the founding and production of Circus Smirkus and the annual presentation of 80 films and 60 world-class theater, music, and dance events. Kingdom County Productions has produced seven award-winning dramatic feature films, six documentaries, a radio variety show, a touring musical theater production, and an Emmy-winning television comedy series.

Thanks for series support from The National Endowment for the Arts, The New England Foundation for the Arts, and The Vermont Arts Council.
