A colorful program is planned to complement the turning leaves. Honegger’s serene Pastorale d’été will be followed by a world-premiere commission by award-winning composer Robert Paterson. Music Director Jaime Laredo will be featured in Mozart’s humorous, Serenata Notturno. Final selections will be Sibelius’ unearthly waltz Valse Triste, and Haydn’s Symphony No. 53, aptly nicknamed L’Imperiale.

Legacy: Austria’s Influence on American Skiing

Documentary filmmaker Ian Scully will present selections from this three-part documentary that tells the story of pioneering Austrian ski instructors and racers. A combination of poverty, war, and a chance to make it in “The Land of Opportunity” led three generations of Austrians to emigrate to the USA—to teach America how to ski.

His one-man show “So Many Levels” has been presented in Boston, San Francisco, Vermont, and at the Hip Hop Theater Festival series “Critical Breaks” in New York City.
